CCSTUDIO: How to write a post-build step to add CRC to .bin file

Hi,

I would like to add a post-build step that appends the CRC value to the .bin file name after the build process. Is there a document or guide I can refer to for this?

I have been searching the TI forum for answers but haven't been able to find anything specific.

I’m using CCS version 12.7.1.00001.

TI has never published anything. I'm aware of no one else who has implemented it.

What device do you use? I suspect the software development kit (SDK) for that device has examples that show the typical way to organize and build a project that implements a CRC check.

Hi George,

I appreciate your response. I guess I misunderstood the intention of the following post: How to add CRC calculation to CCS build process. What I want to achieve is to compute the CRC on the generated .bin file upon build.

The device I'm using is MSPM0G1106 and unfortunately I couldn't find any other examples than 'empty_mspm0g1106'. Could you point me to the right resource I can refer to to achieve this?

Hi Kyungjae,

There is an example in the SDK on how to use the CRC module (crc_calculate_checksum). It should be for the G3507, but you should be able to set it to your target IC.
