CC2652R: Optimizing power consumption in BLE

Part Number: CC2652R

Hi,

In project zero example, how can I reduce power consumption. I intend to reduce the advertising time so that the RF Is inactive and can run it in a battery efficient mode.

But despite totally disabling the advertising, (commented GapAdv_enable in GAP_DEVICE_INIT_DONE_EVENT), and verified the same through the scanner, the power consumption averages around 4mA.
I am verifying this with Energy Trace.

The intended use case is DMM BLE+ Zigbee End Device. I have sorted out the ZED power consumption(verified by removing BLE_START). The BLE part is causing this power consumption concern so I tested it out  with project_zero.

I was expecting the mean power consumption to be around 2uA, similar to ZED
( my original post for ZED : https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/zigbee-thread-group/zigbee-and-thread/f/zigbee-thread-forum/965742/cc2652r-zed-consuming-too-much-current-in-standby-mode).

I have verified that CUI_DISABLE is set and that BOARD_DISPLAY_UART isn't set(could not find it anywhere in the project zero configurations). SDK 4.40.

Could you please advise why power consumption is so high even after advertising is disabled.
Any advise/docs outlining best way to run Sleepy devices ?

Thanks
Akhilesh
