Get LQI of End-Device.

Hi,

So I have the following setup:

Coordinator.
Repeater close to the coordinator.
End Device Far away from coordinator ( and repeater ) and connected to repeater.

To determine the LQI I use the LQI field in the AF_INCOMING_MSG, but I realized it gives the value of the last Hop.

Is there any way to get the overall LQI between the coordinator and end-device although it is connected to a repeater, or not?.

Hi Aiman,

Zigbee AF messages do not average LQI values across hops or generate a LQI list for the end destination, thus you would need to generate a custom application message to accomplish this task if necessary for your product.

ZDO_MGMT_LQI_REQ requests the destination device to perform a LQI query of other devices in the network, for which that device will return a ZDO_MGMT_LQI_RSP with its NeighborLqiList including other routing and child end devices. You can learn more about the commands from the Z-Stack Monitor and Test API. So for example you can send a ZDO_MGMT_LQI_REQ to the ZR and it will return its LQI relation with the ZED.
