Part Number: CD4046B Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS12A12511 , SN74LVC1G3157 , Hello E2E Experts,
Good day.
I've been using this device for over 40 years mainly as a V-to-F converter.
I put a voltage on pin 9 and monitor the frequency of the…
Part Number: CD4046B Dear All
We are a railway company and we use your PLL CD4046 in the acquisition of the speed of our trains.
An electronic board acquire impulses from speed sensors. There are 5 channels, as speed is acquired on 5 wheels.
The…
Part Number: CD4046B-MIL I would like to use this IC to demodulate FM signal at 240KHz
I am confusing with Datasheet.
Please let me know what will be the maximum and minimum for input as well as output voltage levels in rms?
Part Number: CD4046B hi ,
About CD4046, we currently want to lock an 85K square wave signal through this PLL IC. For this frequency, please help to recommend the recommended values of resistors R1,R2 and C1.
Hi Dylan,
The circuit works.
In my experiment, I choose R1=100Kohm, C1=100nF and keep R2 floating. The maximum frequency could be locked is around 140Hz.
The low pass filter, I reference to the application report of TI 'SCHA002A', see the attachment…
Part Number: CD4046B Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LV4046A The resistors values used to set the Fmax and Fmin does not produce the same frequency band for different ICs.Is there an way to get the frequency band from fmay to fmin with always the…
Part Number: CD4046B We're looking for a 1ch and 2ch PLL, the speed can be from 100Mhz to 400Mhz with 3.3V bias power that is for FPGA. Could you help to find the appropriate one. very thanks.

Hello,
It might help you to see how the VCO works. There's a great app note on this device located here: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/scha002a/scha002a.pdf
And that includes this schematic:
Plus a lengthy explanation on how it works.
In short…
Part Number: CD4046B Hi Team, we would like to seek clarification about page 16 figure 9a, do we have a much clearer data graph or equation used on the graph?
Thank you.
