  No the DS90C031B is designed to handle a continuous output short to GND it would not be damaged. Regards,Lee

  Hi Frank, The DS90C031B will convert 5V TTL to LVDS. You will need to clarify what you mean by "2.5V LVDS" though, since LVDS has a standard output of 1.2V common mode and 350mV swing. Regards, I.K.
