Can you please thell me the difference between the LM5116MH and the WG version, (apart from a £130 price difference, and a different package).
The data sheet states that the WG regulator is for "harsh" environments…
The switching freq is 200KHz.
MOSFET Qg is 48nC, Qgs=15nC
HS and LS driving current is (15+48)nCx200KHz=12.6mA
Iq is 5mA
LM5116 power loss 24Vx+(5+12.6)=422mW
Theta_JA is 40C/W, then temp increase is 40x0.422=17C.
so the IC should not be hot than 42C…
