RE: MSP430I2020: IAR Toolchain and Legacy e-meter Library Build configuration
Very helpful, James! Really appreciate the detailed replies here. Customer is up and running at this point with their legacy builds. Thanks for getting us going in the right direction. I'm guessing this info will be helpful to current/future customers...

RE: MSP430I2020: Moved project from older IAR to IAR v7 - strange build errors; Follow up to comments about legacy code
Hi Marc, Thanks for posting on E2E. To fix the "Compiler not recognized" error, you'll need to manually change the upper limit for the IAR version in the preprocessor directive. I think the default value is "600", so change it...

RE: MSP430I2020: How to build i2041 metrology project for the i2020
Hi Marc, As Eason pointed out, this is the older code with limited support. What's the reason for using the older code base over EMDC? I'm assuming it's related to using the smaller (cheaper) memory device i20x0 rather than i20x1. It may...

RE: CCS/MSP430I2020: osc
Hi Hung, Sure, you could use the external crystal for main clock by DCO Bypass Mode. The performance should depends on the external crystal itself. By the DCO Bypass Mode, you just have another choice for your main clock source.

RE: MSP430I2020: Can i use differential ADC input as a single ended ADC?
Hello, Yes, you can apply a single-ended input to the ADC as long as the maximum input voltage isn't exceeded. You'll lose the advantages of reading the differential signal with the
MSP430i2020
but it can be done. I'm assuming your design...
