PTH08080W has been using only SAC solder since its release. The absolute maximum PTH08080WAH module body and pin temperature is limited to 260°C for no more than 5 seconds . The 285°C exceeds this maximum limit.

That specification appears to apply specifically to current limiter ICs, not to dc/dc converters with built in current limiting.
Specifically to TPS5410, the inductance and capacitance stated in that spec are probably not suitable for use in designs…

PTH08080W must no have more than 330uF polarized capacitance on Vout bus including 5Vout. The minimum ESR( equivalent series resistance) for all polarized capacitance is 14mΩ . Any polarized capacitance more than 330uF will destabilize the module…
thanks for the response, that's what i was expecting. i just see the HV AC motor kit supplies 5V with a 10W converter (P/N pth08080w) and it made me wonder what proportion is for this control card.
