Hi Keith: The gain errors are actually worst with REF6030 as shown in the enclose Table . I have the REF6030 circuit wired per your picture. Also with the data I sent to you, I have C99 and C98 connected to AINP and AINN inputs respectively since…

Hello Dhiren, You are correct. The reference input of the ADS8860 is a switched capacitor, and requires a high speed buffer to properly drive the input. Simply connecting the REF input to a 3.3V power supply will work, but you will see a large increase…

Hi Sheldon, You'll generally need a buffer or buffered reference IC (for example, REF6030). See the characterization results here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/t/477506 If you want to simulate a custom circuit, you can use…

Balazs, If VDDA is the source of the ADC reference then to be accurate for conversion it must be a stable source. Alternatively a bulk cap of 1 uf and a decoupling cap of 0.1uf would be good. If Vrefa+ pin is being used then a REF6030 would work.

Dear Keith, Continuation of my previous email. According to his datasheet, the short-circuit current limit (ISC) of the REF60xx family of devices is adjusted by connecting a resistor (RSS) on the SS pin. The short-circuit current limit when the REF60xx…
