Part Number: SN65HVD231 Dear Sir,
I have some question as below, could you help to check it, thanks!
1.What condition to choose Standard Termination or Split Termination.
2.If we have Standard Termination and Split Termination in can bus, have any…
Part Number: SN65HVD231 Hi Sir
I saw SN65HVD231 have Vref pin ,but TI the latest TCAN33x series this pin is NC not VREF
May I know the reason? Can TCAN33x replace SN65HVD231 directly ?
Thanks
Part Number: SN65HVD231 Dear Team,
SN65HVD231DR only for 85dC.
Do we have higher temp. device?
I am not sure this one is suitable or not.
It seems is old device.

Part Number: SN65HVD231 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCAN332 , SN55HVD233-SP Hello, for a customer we need a radiation resistant Can Tranciever device which is designed for 3.3V µP voltages. The device should also be available for a long time as it…
Part Number: SN65HVD231 Hi,
We are using SN65HVD231 CAN transceiver in the BMS and it will communicate with the display product via CAN communication. Same transceiver SN65HVD231 used in both BMS and display units.
After few days of operation, the…
John,
Thanks for the update! It's too bad we'll never truly know the root cause (although I agree a wiring fault sounds plausible), but at least things are working now. If you encounter any issues in the future please don't hesitate to post again.…
Hi Venkata,
The SN65HVD231 is only used to translate between single-ended logic signals (TXD, RXD) and differential CAN bus signals (CANH/CANL) - it does not format data per CAN protocol, does not modify data in any way, etc. This type of thing would…
Part Number: SN65HVD231 Hi,
my customer did a circuit that is already in production and by mistake he connected VREF pin(5) to VCC(3.3V), instead of leaving floating, because it is not used.
Can this situation be potentially leading to internal failures…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65HVD231 I was perusing the datasheet for SN65HVD231 CAN transceiver (SLOS346L March 2001 revised January 2015) and found a number of errors: 1. In section 13.1 of layout it says "An example placement of the Transient…
