Part Number: SN65HVD37 Hi team,
My customer is using SN65HVD37DR in their new design.
They recently found that the device's Voh min=2.4V@Ioh=-8mA, which is lower than the MCU they are using, with Vih=2.7V.
The board is already fixed and there's little…

Hi team,
My customer is wondering if they can use this device with half duplex communication. I guess it can't be used for half duplex, it is correct? If it can be used, is there an…
Part Number: SN65HVD37 Hi team.
My customer is designing the layout for SN65HVD37DR.
I guess they have to care about below:
Parallel/equal-length wiring for receiving side A, B and transmitting side Y, Z, respectively.
Receiver A,B and Transmitter Y…
Part Number: SN65HVD37 Hi Team
My customer have 2 questions about SN65HVD37.
Please kindly help with these. It will be appreciate.
1. Datasheet says VOH(min) is 2.4V on Pin 2(Receiver) when IOH=-8mA.
Customer wants to connect Pin 2 to another device,…

Ohashi-san,
No issue - I answered your other thread here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/1200444/sn65hvd37-about-layout-guideline if you need anything else please let me know!

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65HVD37 Hi,
I understand SN65HVD37 meets TIA-485-A specificaitons.
So, should the value of Termination be 120Ω ?
In case of SN65HVD37, how much power is Termination(120Ω) consumed ?
Best Regards,
Kato
Brian,
Unfortunately THVD2450 has no full duplex version. In this case, you may want to check out SN65HVD37. Here is an app note showing its performance.

Please let me know if you have more questions.

Hello Deepak,
I have found a similar part that is slightly lower in power consumption, SN65HVD37. Another option you could do to save some power is to remove the termination. Because you are operating over a small distance and at a low rate, you can…
