  Hi Ed, I don't see how the die mounting is important. From the datasheets the devices operate similarly. You can review the electrical specs to see if they will be a good replacement for you.

  There appears to be no single-gate device. SN74AHC139 or SN74LVC139A-Q1 are dual-gate devices.
