We are planning to drive the Decoder : SN74HCS238BQBR with the CPLD : ICE40UP5K-SG48I.
And the CPLD voltage levels are at LVTTL level (+3.3V) and the Decoder operating voltage…
Part Number: SN74HCS238 Hi,
We are having a design requirement of a decoder(SN74HCS238BQBR) control logic through a Octal buffer(SN74AC244PWR),
Kindly clarify the below points which is required for my design analysis,
1) Whether the Decoder-SN74HCS238BQBR…
No; 1:8 muxes are intended for signals with much less than 10 A.
Use a 3-to-8 demultiplexer with active-high outputs (e.g., SN74HCS238, SN74AHC238) for the control signals, and combine it with eight high-side switches (e.g., TPS27SA08).
Part Number: CD74HC238 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74HCS238 Hello,
CD74HC238M shows EOL. Did it just change packaging to CD74HC238M96 or are there any other differences? Datasheet seems to indicate no differences but it is not clear.
Thanks!

Hi Yoshihiko,
The CD74HC238 is our only 3-to-8 Line Decoder (Inverting and Non-Inverting) available in the NS package. If you can use a different package I would recommend the SN74HCS238 , it is available in our smallest leaded package DYY.

May I know the output current capacity of TMUX1104.

There is no single device that could do this.
Combine a standard logic demultiplexer (e.g., SN74HCS238 for 3:8, CD74HC4514 for 4:16) with stronger drivers (2× ULN2803A or 3× TPL7407LA).

I'm looking for an IC that I provide with 3V 1A power and some kind of signal (from my Raspberry Pi) and it outputs that 3V 1A to one of 12…
