  These are SN74HCT04 in either SO (NS) or SOIC (D) package; check the size.

  The devices I suggested before are CMOS devices that cannot tolerate 5V. If you need a device that can tolerate 5V and has TTL levels, then I would suggest looking at the SN74HCT14 or SN74HCT04. Best, Michael

  is your bypass cap right on the Vcc pin? Are the input lines that are tied together equal lengths. If not you could be having bus contention for a short amout of time. Using a lower power part with slower edges would probably fix the problem. Something…
