Part Number: SN74HCT08
I am using 2 SN74HCT08 ICs to control some MOSFETS, with some of the AND-gate inputs controlled by 3.3V GPIO pins on a microcontroller. When the microcontroller is being programmed, the GPIO pins go to 'analog mode,' leaving the…
Part Number: SN74HCT08 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC23313 , , SN74ACT08 Hi expert,
My customer use two SN74HCT08 driver 4 UCC23313, but since the current drive is not enough, the output voltage will drop to 4.2V with 5V VCC.
if they use one SN74HCT08…
Part Number: SN74HCT08 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74HCS08 , SN74AC08 , SN74AHC08 Our test shows that the transmission input delay is about 1.6uS, which is very different from the tPHL parameter in the data manual. What is the cause of this, or is…
Part Number: SN74HCT08 Below two different type of mold marks on the bottom of the parts are from one reel. Anybody knows what is these numbers means? Why different mold marking parts can be in one reel? Thanks!

Hello,
Regarding to the SN74HCT08, I have a question.
I understand that it is not available the output tolerant by specification in data sheet.
( Output voltage:0-Vcc)
So, about the parasitic diode…
If the supply voltage is 5 V, you can use the SN74HCT08. If you do not rely on the positive clamp diodes at the inputs (i.e., if the input signals are not higher than the supply), you can use the SN74AHC08, and at 5 V, SN74AHCT08.
Why? If you need to handle TTL signals, you can use CMOS devices with TTL-compatible inputs.
