The SN74LVC2G17DBVR is not capable of translating from 3.3V to 5V. The SN74LVC2G17DBVR has Schmitt-trigger inputs. Is this feature needed?
One option here could be the SN74LVC2G07DBVR that has open drain outputs, and a pull resistor could be used…
