Ahmed,
Hardware
You can not simply solder wires on with these high speed signals. You will need either SMA connections through a breakout card (Similar to http://silicontkx.com/pdfs/SMA_SMC_Ultra.pdf) , or you need to use a uTCA chassis. Also, I don…
My last post had a link to the CSL (mouse over the letters CSL). The one that came with CCSv3.3 was the legacy CSL2 which supported devices prior to the C64x+ core release. For reference, here's a direct link: http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders…
Hi MattB,
All the software for the C6455 is not based on DSP/BIOS drivers (PSP/DDK), it is based on CSL (chip support library):
http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/sprc234.html
So I would suggest for you to use the software provided. If you…
I was able to find the source code for the CSL_pllcGetHwSetup in the .zip archive available here: http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/sprc234.html . I wasn't able to find it in my CCS installation folder because the installation included only…
Yes. When the EDMA stopped working, I run edma_sub_frame_xfer of sprc234 Chip Support Library for 6455, but it continued. I found the bit of ESR is always 1 that caused the EDMA stop working.
Now, I abandon CSL and read/write EDMA3 registers directly…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SPRC234 Hi all
I am looking for C64x+ big endian libraries. When I installed CCS i only see C64x libraries although i know that this CCS 3.3 version supports 6455. I dont find any directories specific to 64x+. Why is…
Just a reminder, INTC is made for hardware interrupts. That means that the interrupts won't have priorities and be interruptible like SWIs in BIOS. Also, I would say that interrupt handling is not easy. My advice is not to try to do it by yourself…
For C6455, you can use the CSL - Chip Support Library. Some of our DSPs have a PSP - Platform Support Package that uses DSP/BIOS drivers.
You can download CSL for C6455:
http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/sprc234.html
After downloading CSL,…
Did you know that the CSL for C6455 is made to work with CCS 3.3? So if you have CCS 3.1 and earlier versions, you will need to update it in order to use it. This information is in the release notes of the CSL itself, which you can download at the link…
Hi Sridevi,
You can find a list of all available software for the device under the Tools & software tab:
I think in your case you will want to use the Chip Support Libraries:
