Part Number: TCA9538 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP5018 Hello,
Please tell me how to handle the address pins of TCA9538. When connecting the address terminals (A0, A1) to VCC, is it okay to connect them directly to VCC without using a PULLUP resistor…
Part Number: TCA9538 Hello.
I would like to estimate the thermal margin, so please let me know the Tjmax value of the TCA9538.
Should Tjmax and Tstg be the same value?
Hi Sreenivasa, I used this FAQ as a reference. I think it's a very good FAQ. https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1326205/faq-processor-sdk-am64x-how-to-program-tca6424a-using-soc_i2c1?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch…
Hi Amit,
If you are not using four of the port pins you can set them up as output pins. This way you will not have to worry about referencing them using a pull up/ down resistor and they won't generate interrupts.
Best,
Chris
Part Number: TCA9538 Hi.
The datasheet for the TCA9538 states (multiple times) that the nRESET pin must be pulled up to Vcc if no active connection is required.
For example:
Is there a reason that nRESET cannot be wired directly to VCC, if nRESET control…
Hi Marco,
Like Clemens has answered already, PCA9557 does not have a p2p part with P0 as push-pull.
The only other alternative is to switch to another 8-bit IO expander such as TCA9538 or TCA6408A that has all 8 IO's as push pull.
