Part Number: THVD1512 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THVD1510 , Hello,
When A and Y and B and Z of THVD1512DGSR are shorted, it looks like THVD1510.
Is there any problem with using THVD1512 as a device for half-duplex communication in this way?
Best regards…
Part Number: THVD1512 Hello,
The customer is looking at page 18 of the THVD1512 data sheet, Figure 23. Typical RS-485 Network With Full-Duplex Transceivers.
The master is connected to two slaves. One of the slaves has a termination resistor RT connected…
There are RS-232 transceivers that need external high-voltage supplies, e.g., SN75155.
But in practice, high-noise environments are much easier handled with differential signals like LVDS (e.g., SN65LVDS049) or RS-422/RS-485 (e.g., SN65C1168E or 2× THVD1512…
Part Number: THVD1512 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THVD1552 Hi team
I have a customer that is interested in THVD1512 (PREVIEW today).
When does this device release sample and production ?
You can use any full-duplex transceiver. To reduce EMI, use a transceiver with the lowest possible maximum signaling rate.
The SN65LBC179 would work. The THVD1512 would be cheaper, more robust, and use less power.
Part Number: THVD1512 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: RS485-HF-DPLX-EVM Hello E2E,
I have a customer that likes the THVD1512 in VSSOP but there is no EVM. Is there another RS-485 EVM that we could order and then solder on the THVD1512 on to? The first…
Part Number: SN65LBC180 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THVD1512 , THVD1552 I still have some questions about RS485 (SN65LBC180DR),
Whether termination is required ? If yes, What is the value and whether it is required for both the ends ?
Since we observe…
Part Number: THVD1512 Team,
CAD Symbol is not available for THVD1512.
I also tried to submit a request here https://webench.ti.com/cad/cad.cgi but the link is broken.
Thanks

You have three signals, so you need three full-duplex transceivers (e.g., THVD1512) with R connected to D, or a multichannel receiver and a multichannel driver (e.g., AM26C32/AM26C31).
1. All transceivers need a decoupling capacitor. Additional components to protects against voltage transients and noise might be necessary, depending on your environment.
2. Half duplex, by itself, is not preferred, but it is necessary when you cannot…
