Dear Jeff,
Firstly, i'd like to thank for your quick reply. I've a few more questions for the charging side.
1-a.) Could you please give us more explanation about HiZ Mode? Also, when battery supports the load in HiZ Mode (Psolar is not enough…
Dear Jeff,
thanks for your reply and suggestions then this http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-01556 design kit cost is around 7000/INR but i want to make low cost 1A current support solar charger for my tiva c kit and also it support battery charging that's all…

do we have some MSP430 example code about Bq24773? and also need Bq24773 + MSP430 schematic…
Bonnie,
There is a reference design for simple solar MPPT: www.ti.com/.../TIDA-01556 . The algorithm and test results are in the user guide. The input current and the battery supplement current provide the system power.
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00120 , TIDA-01556 , BQ24650 Hi. I would like some advice on solar charger circuits. We need to be able to use 6V, 12V or even 24V solar panel and get 5V. We also need to use a lithium battery backup. Can you please…
Ayla,
The BQ25504 recently changed to not recommended for new designs (NRND) status. In addition, its maximum output current is only 100mA. Even with no load on VSTOR, at 100mA charge current, a 5000mAHr battery would take 50 hours to charge. With…
Hello David,
The app note just shows an example of the panel we used in the test. It doe snot necessary to be the exact same.
What you need to watch out is the solar panel output needs to be within the input operating range of the BQ25895 or any devices…
Part Number: BQ25895 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01556 Hi,
Would this part be suitable for charging off of a solar cell input. I notice it has the maximum power point tracking, so thought it might work.
The specs i am working against are:
P_peak…
Hey Krishna,
To add to Angelo's comments:
If you have an MCU to control the charger, we also have a TI-Design for reference using the BQ25895 charger with integrated ADC to achieve a simple MPPT control scheme.
