    The TMUX1209 does not allow signal voltages above VDD. The TMUX1574 uses a charge pump to double the power supply voltage. Such a switching power supply needs some time to start up.

    4:1 devices exist, but not with four channels. You have to combine two two-channel devices. Use 2× SN74LV4052A or 2× TMUX1309/TMUX1209/TMUX1109.
