Part Number: TPD1S414 My customer is developing a new product and is considering reusing our TPD1S414 for a portable equipment.
We are interested to know if we have a newer, better alternate we want to promote?
Part Number: TPD1S414 I have a board that we will be testing with a pogo pin interface. The current jig does not allow me to plug in a USB cable to the board and I didn't provide a testpoint between the connector and the TPD1S414 input. The only place…
Part Number: TPD1S414 Hi,
My customer is looking for a cross reference to MAX9940. I had recommended the TPD1S414 as it was the closest solution I saw. However, the customer is using an open drain single wire interface which signaled by MCU pulling…
Part Number: TPD1S514 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI , TPD1S414 , Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models I have not found the package manual for TPD1S414 and TPD1S514 on the official website, DSBGA (YZ) | 12, the link of this package has expired…
Part Number: TPD1S414 Hi,
In the datasheet, it stated OVP response time to nFET off is 100ns max. But Figure 7 shows differently. Which one should I follow? What is the exact threshold for complete cut off?
Thanks.

The external resistor will be necessary in this case.
The TPD1S414 does not integrate it because it can be used in non-type-C systems that do not require a bleed resistor.
In Type-C applications, it is best practice to discharge VBUS when power…
Part Number: TPD1S414 Hi,
1. What would happen if Vbus_sys is shorted to gnd? Is there any overcurrent protection at Vbus_sys?
2. If protection exists, what would happen If short is removed?
Thanks.

Part Number: HD3SS3220 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD1S414 Does the HD3SS3220 use VDD5 supply for anything other than VCONN? If a customer is not interested in supporting active cables on an UFP, can VDD5 be left unpowered? The question results…
Hi Ash,
When you say input voltage, do you mean the system voltage that's supplying voltage to the TPS2546, or the VBUS voltage in the event that there is a voltage above 7V connected to VBUS?
If you are asking about the supply voltage to the TPS2546…
