My customeris using the TPD2EUSB30DRT protection diode on some USB3.0 data pairs and would like to know if I can treat pin 1 (D+) and pin 2 (D-) as interchangeable. If they are, it will simplify their layout.

There is a difference with the TPD2EUSB30 and TPD2EUSB30A. The A version only has 3.6V working voltage and would not work for short to vbus application. However the TPD2EUSB30 has 5.5V working voltage so it can withstand short to vbus.
