Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3715 , TPS65073 Hi,
I have a custom made board with AM3715 cpu and TPS65073 PMIC. Although the tps65073 seems to be registered in i2c bus, I have error messages like "No PMIC info for vdd_core", "sr_init: No PMIC hook…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65073 , TPS65070 I'm trying to use the TPS65073 in a battery-powered product that can also be attached to an "AC" power source or USB power. I'm worried about the condition where the battery is dead/broken, but the…
Please have a look at page 34 figure 33 of the TPS65073 datasheet.
Figure 33 shows the state diagram of the TPS65073.
There is a difference if the device is powered from
- AC / USB
- BAT
1) In case device is powered from AC/USB
As soon…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65073 I'm using the TPS65073 to control the backlight consisting of a string of 4 LEDs.
I can always turn the LEDs on (via setting register 0x18 to 0x90), as well as adjust the PWM duty cycle from 0 to 100% (via…
Hello Bjorn,

1) If not using a battery or USB, do you still need to connect any decoupling caps to these pins, as stated in the datasheet?
In case you are not using a battery or USB, you can connect both USB…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65073 In my application (a battery-powered device), I'm worried about the case where the battery is dead and the device won't turn on with "AC" or USB power. I'm using a TPS65073 with all 3 power input types -- "AC…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65073 , BQ27500 I'm trying to use the TPS65073, and when trying to turn it off I apparently can't get out of the state POWER OFF 3 from Figure 33 of the datasheet -- SYS is still powered and it won't turn back on unless…
The VSYS pin is at ~3.6V when the battery is installed.
If the system is being powered by USB or AC input, both of which are 5V, is the VSYS pin = 5V or 3.6V? does it depend upon whether a battery is installed as to whether it is 3.6V or 5V ?
