    Yes , Clemens , " Nowadays, IEEE-1394 is pretty much a legacy interface. I am not able to predict whether the TSB82AA2B or the XIO2213A will have a better lifetime." There is a new product TSB82AF15-EP maybe substitute XIO2213A
