1. This is correct TUSB213 or TUSB217 would work in this application. I recommend TUSB217 as it is our lastest USB 2 redriver.

The length is not the only variable that affects the signal, in this case appears that the cable 2 has higher quality and therefore lower loss profile than cable 1.
