Hello Arturas I believe legacy. Earlier LM3S devices had limited number of UART. So I believe 3 was the mas that can be done to ensure that the SW does not break.

Hi Amit, That sound good in theory yet in practice can fall apart witnessed greatly on LM3S and now on TM4C though far less randomness. And if (SW) rides on the edge of HW limitation how would engineer have any basis to trouble shoot random issues…

Hello Tuan, 1) The LM3S is NRND, you should work with the TM4C123G moving forward. We won't offer support for new designs/projects on an NRND device. Here is the TM4C123G LaunchPad: http://www.ti.com/tool/EK-TM4C123GXL 2) When you migrate to TM4C123G…

Hello cb1 This method during the LM3 to TM4 transition was very much debated. It was meant to provide a seamless transition of SW, but not meant to clearly demarcate the new development. Regards Amit

Hi Amit, Both are already there and still no PWM cutoff action. The odd thing is when all 3 comparator Cn+ threshold pins where accidently set external (missing WPU other post) the PWM pins were cut off perpetually. I tried trigger mode on the comparators…
