Daniel,
The GPCPackager and GPC Cycle tools in the bq4050 tool do not apply to Impedance Track devices, so that is why they are not present. Some of the IT devices do have a Learning Cycle plug-in in bqStudio and we can look in to adding it to the bq40z50…
I believe it is in sleep mode as it is nearly fully charged.
Sleep mode is in the "DA Configuration" address 0x4950, but as the pack is sealed, I can't read this information with the EV2300.
My assumption that it is in sleep mode could be invalid…
Hi Renan,
You can adjust the temperature trip points by changing the resistor network attached. The temperature thresholds in the BQ77915 data sheet are a ratio. The part sees a resistor ratio of VTB determine by RTS_PU/(RTS_PU + RTS). You can adjust…
Hi Albert,
You selected BQ78350 as the device number for your question which is a CEDV gauge. There are some other devices like the BQ4050/BQ40z50 that have both options to choose from. The BQ34110 (CEDV) and BQ34z100 (IT) are also very popular as…
Part Number: BQ40Z50 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ4050 Hello experts, We have a problem with obtaining Qmax in end system (during battery integration testing),
We have tested the battery pack isolated form the device, so we could understand better…
In our current offerings a 4S single chip with balancing will come with a gauge. The bq4050 or bq40z50 should be good choices for 4 cells, each has its advantages. The people on the gas gauge forum are more knowledgable if you have questions on those…
Hello David,
Assuming you are referring to Lithium thionyl chloride cells, we currently don't have a gas gauge that supports primary cells.
For your reference, the bq27220 is a single cell gas gauge, so it is not suitable for a 3s multi-cell configuration…

Hello, guys!
We are currently designing a device that will be powered with three 18650 cells connected in series - 3S1P configuration.
Consequently, a PD controller will be…
Richard
The device is programmed with a set of default calibration values during production and final calibration should be performed at the pack level. We do calibrate the bandgap, frequencies, etc. I am not sure how much the voltage readings will be…
Hi Mario,
What protections you need depends on your system requirements from your industry or system architecture. Many systems will use FETs to cut off the charge or discharge when the battery is operated outside the parameters set by the battery system…
