unfortunately we can only hope that the address is not already used. Otherwise we have to implement a custom BSL with SPI bus. But I know that there is not a SW available from TI for this, and it is a hard work for us.

When it comes to SPI, just send two 8bit bytes. SPI don't care that there is a pause between bytes (or pause between bits even) as it's the CLK that is in charge.
