Thanks Jared. The post you linked to really helps out. I hadn't come across the TS3DV642 yet, so I'll just switch over to that. Looks like it's faster, cheaper, and better in every way.

  • RE: What is TI’s lowest capacitance switch?

    Resolved
Ranita, The input capacitance of the switch largely effects the bandwidth performance of the part so you can also search for high bandwidth switches as they will tend to have lower input capacitance. Based on my search it looks like the TS3DV642 is…

Kensuke-san, I would recommend two devices TS3DV642 and TS3DV520E that are 1:2 mux, can switch >10 differential pairs, and >1Gbps capable. There are also similar posts that can help 4 lane MIPI Switch post and post about Fairchild's MIPI switch…

Hi Andrew, I have attached our schematics and the layout of our current board using the TS3DV642. Can you please let us know if we have violated anything here? We had to use FR-4 material for the other circuitry. HDMI circuits are pages 8 and…

  • RE: Switching DisplayPort (DP) signals through TI 8-bit 2-Gbps Differential Switch (TS3DV20812)

    Adam Torma
    Adam Torma
Mel, The TS3DV20812 device can support 2 Gbps data rates but the newer DisplayPort 1.1a and 1.2 data rates exceed the performance capability of this device. We recommend using the 7.5 GHz TS3DV642 switch that can support the 5.4 Gbps data rate needed…

Kaitlyn, I'm not sure if I understand what you are asking. Would it be possible for you to draw a diagram and show why you need 4 to 1 HDMI switch with separate audio. We have a really good HDMI switch TS3DV642 which is a 2 to 1 switch. We also have…

  • RE: TS3V712E for use with EDID I2C signals

    Adam Torma
    Adam Torma
Dave, The TS3V712E can be used to mux both Analog Video Graphic Array (VGA) signals as well as the Extended display identification data (EDID) I2C signals. The I2C bus standard mode full speed is 400kbit/s and the TS3V712E GHz bandwidth will be more…

Hi Adam, I am assuming you are considering 1GHz RGMII interface. I am also assuming your RGMII interface consists of TXC, TX_CTL, TXD[3:0] , RXC, RX_CTL, RXD[3:0]. Clocks are 125MHz, while data bits are triggered on both rising and falling edge. If you…
