I'm not sure about what does the interface mean. G2553 configures DRV8303 registers with SPI. High side control of motor drive is realized with Timer 0 as PWM generator and low side control is realized with 3 GPIOs.
For the example code, it will be released soon.

Axel,

G2553 should receive command from a main controller, it is a singal wire interface called COM in the schematic. Can you please help to explain how it works?

Do you know when the example will be released?

Kevin,
This signal is a PPM signal with a high-level width varying from 1ms to 2ms. 1ms means 0 speed and 2 ms means full speed.

I'm working on the example code to make it more robust. And some other work needs to be done before it is released.

Is the microcontroller code available for TIDA-00735? its based on MSP430G2553..

Unfortunately the code for most TIDAs is not available for public use. At least not as a direct download link. Maybe you want to try to contact TI directly and ask for it (if no one reaches out to you after reading this). Maybe you're lucky and they will provide it to you. Just try.

It's seems to be the best BLDC example:sensorless, msp430g2553,drv8303...Hope that guy Axel Gao, will see our posts. The firmware example must be somewhere...There are some output waveforms on the TI website..

To all posters looking for the TIDA-00735 code:

The code for this reference design cannot be located. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Similar code using the MSP430F5529 is available for the BOOSTXL-DRV8320H/S ( www.ti.com/.../slvc683 )

There are some differences. The DRV8320 code interfaces with a GUI to allow evaluation of the device. Also, the location of the GPIOs may be different.

I'm sorry Mr. Duncan,but there are more other app. notes more similar than BOOSTXL DRV8320...This is not a solution!
