SW DDR leveling without Jtag

Hello,

My customer board has no Jtag. Very close to production and revmoed Jtag.

And need to run SW DDR3 leveling due to change of layout.

Current AvatarEmif tool is using Jtag to run tools, so can't use as is.

Which method is the best in this case? Merging emif tool into u-boot or making emiftool can run as bootloader.

Could you please guide detail procedure?

Yes you are correct, since you cannot use JTAG now, the best option is to merge the emif tool source as part of u-boot.

I have not looked into this source code, can you share here.

I have looked into source, you have to port <INSTALL_DIR>tools/ddr_slaveratio_searchalgo.c source to SPL. You may have to remove the file operation related code and store the SW leveling result in some buffer in onchip memory and dump it.

reference in u-boot: Hope this will be useful.
source file - arch/arm/cpu/armv7/omap-common/hwinit-common.c
function - s_init()
run the algorithm after sdram_init() in s_init().
