Ti BeagleBone AM335x no access to the board via via XDS100v2 Onboard JTAG Emulator

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CODECOMPOSER

Hi,

currently we are tying to get TI AM335x BeagleBone board rev. A5up and runniung this Linux.

Software : Virtual Box latest revision.

We are already get stuck with from TI's LINUXEZSDK described Low-Level (Stop-Mode) Debugging access by using the CodeComposer trying to get access to the Beagle Board via XDS100v2  Onboard JTAG Emulator. The Terminal communication window is open by showing the TTY USB 0 and TTY USB1 ports but we get always an error massage if we want to have access the Board Hardware via JTAG.

 Error Massage:

IcePick_D_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -151 @ 0x0) One of the FTDI driver functions used during the connect returned bad status or an error. The cause may one or more of: invalid emulator serial number, blank emulator EEPROM, missing FTDI drivers, faulty USB cable. Use the xds100serial command-line utility in the 'common/uscif' folder to verify the emulator can be located. (Emulation package 5.0.872.0)

Our guess is, the issue might be caused by a type of miss configuration.

It would be great, if someone could give us some feedback where we have to look at in order to get resolved that issue .

Thank you very much indeed.

Kind regards

Johannes
