I know the ICE was not really desinged for running linux on, however i'm very keen to get it runnign to see if i can.
Primarily, i want to make use of the ring type topologys that Ethercat offers, but have a Linux engine so we dont' ahve to massively rewrite our code. ( I think you can do IP over ethercat? ). Our bandwidth requriements are not high so, it shoudl be ok.
Has anyone got any idea how to approach this problem? I'd be potentially interested in hiring someone who has got the know-how for this.
