Out customer wants to have SPI slave driver in Linux.

I read in this forum a lot of discussions regarding this subject.

I know that McSPI does not support slave mode and that TI doesn't plan to implement this:

I also know that SPI slave was working in old StartWare version 2.0.0.6:

So is there somehow chance to port spi code from StartWare to McSPI Linux driver?
It this is possible, can you please send me the link where I can download StartWare 2.0.0.6 because in new versions SPI slave was removed!
Or do you have some other idea how should I easy make SPI slave working on Linux?
I am newbie in Linux, so any advice would be helpful.

Hi Strahinja,

As far as I understand, the Linux SPI framework is the limiting factor for not having SPI slave functionality, not the missing functionality in our driver itself.

Regarding the older version of StarterWare - you can ask inside the StarterWare forum: http://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/starterware/f/790.aspx

Hi Miroslav,

It is not missing factor, because main line Kernel also doesn't support SPI slave mode, so TI just did the same.

Except trying to port code from StartWare is there any other, maybe easier solution which I can use in making SPI slave driver in Linux?
As I said, I am newbie in Linux and any advice would be helpful.
