AM335X Audio aplay wav file POP noise

Hi, everyone

My Plaform am335X, base to SDK6.0 , the Audio IC is TLV320aic3106

Now, I found:

1. Power on

2. aplay wave file, have POP noise

3. aplay wave file , have no the POP noise

4. reboot go to Linux system . aplay wave file, have no POP noise

5. Power off & Power on, aplay wave file, have the POP noise

So, the POP nosie, only the Power on & the first play wave file have the POP noise

Maybe have relationship with electric timing? Could I modify the driver code?

Hi Ryan,

This sounds like your speaker/headphone is initially biased to a voltage that causes the pop sound when playback starts. I think you should look for hardware issue.

I try my TI EVM borad on the SK(AM3358) board , use SDK6.0, I found the same problem.
I don't known if your RD could check & help me?

TI give me a TI SK evm board(the color purple), the SK schematic download from you TI wiki
I only make sure the audio IC is TLV320AIC3106

I can't help on this. I suggest you ask on the Codec forum for possible sources of this pop noise (http://e2e.ti.com/support/data_converters/audio_converters/f/64 )
