The AM335x has four crypto accelerators:

• true random-number generator

The TRNG and the AES and hash accelerators all have linux drivers, although the driver for the AES accelerator does not yet support all modes the hardware is capable of. There is no linux driver yet for the public-key accelerator.

There's no documentation really on the public-key accelerator, but I've been able to figure out it's a (Montgomery) modular multiplication/exponentiation engine, which means it could be usefully used to accelerate any public-key crypto operations (RSA, DH/DSA, ECC). I think the maximum size of its operands is 8192 bits.

The catalog version of the device is a "GP" (general purpose) device, and has no secure boot capability whatsoever. For secure boot you need a "HS" (high security) version, for which you'd need to follow Biser's advice and contact a TI representative.
