How to set AM335x in I2C slave mode

I am trying to create a I2C slave device using TI's AM335x board(only reception required)by means of modifying the i2c-omap.c,unfortunately I failed.I don't know how to do it.I know this question has been solved possibly in Ti E2E Community，

spontaneously I haven't found the 2.6.29-rc3-omap1 kernel source code - so a driver patch might break because of little differences between your actual kernel and my version. I have adapted my current driver version to the interfaces provided by the 2.6.29-omap1 driver (which are probably / hopefully compatible to your rc3-version). I want to download i2c_omap_slave.tar.gz. but don't find it .the interlinkage is disable .please reuploading it .I need it .In addition to this.If someone is solved the problem, please Leave your footprint.

Hi,

The i2c driver does not support the slave mode functionality. It configures the Sitara I2C controller as a master.

In order to set sitara i2c as slave, you must set OMAP_I2C_CON_MST = 0x0; for this you need to modify the omap-i2c driver, specifically the i2c init function & omap_i2c_xfer_msg() function.

If you have solved it, please provide the driver file, I spent me two weeks, but I still don't solve it. I need it very much! No matter what it is, as long as it can let me step forward.

You should understand that the forum support team do not develop or modify software, they only support queries existing software, as offered in the Sitara Linux SDK. They already answered that the I2C driver included in the Sitara Linux SDK supports only Master mode of operation.
