HI,

I have an another question about Multiprotocol on AM335x.

Can AM335x excute two protpcol ?
We need Modbus.

For example

Modbus and DeviceNet

or

Modbus and Profinet

or

Modbus and EthernetIP

Do you have any information ?

Hiroyasu-san, could you please clarify a little bit your customer's use case? do they want both protocols working at the same time?. I will ping our Industrial Multiprocol expert for his input in the meantime.

Yes, My customer want both protocols at the same time.

My customer consider gateway using AM335x.
They need one protocol is Modbus.
and another protocol is Devicenet or Profibus or EthernetI/P.

We worry about two protocol working.

Hiroyasu-san, two protocols running on AM335x sounds thigh.. do you customer has some cycle benchmark for Modbus? There are different Modbus version do you know which one are they targeting?

Hiroyasu-san, I am trying to find a Modbus expert in Apps who can comment. We haven't developed this protocol for our platform so we are not too familiar..

But in any case, it would be good to have clear if your customer implementation is going to be only ARM or if they are planning to use ICSS-PRU for Modbus, also if your customer is planning to use a serial base Modbus or an Ethernet base Modbus (Modbus TCP). 

Any other data could also help. For example, use case protocols cycle time, application sizes, what is the product use case..
