Time stamping using distributed clock

I am using my laptop to control slaves .
for slave i have AM335x ICE board.
i want to implement time stamping using distributed clock.

I am using ethercat_slave application provided in SDK 2.1.2.2

DC is already enabled on the board as we can see "DC" option on TwinCAT 3.

But as i change the mode to "DC synchron" the slave stopped working.
No exchange of data takes place.

What can be the reason for this?

And what configuration should be there to implement Time stamping ?

As it is a time constrained project so please try to reply ASAP.

What i need to know is , how time stamping is done using DC.
for ex .
if the time right now is 11:30 and i want to trigger my slaves at 11:40 than for precise timing and zero delay in all slaves i ll use Time stamp.
so how will i send Time stamp using twincat 3 ??

Time stamp datagram content ??
