Hello,
We are designing a custom board running an AM5718 processor and are intending on using USB as one of the supported booting modes for SPL (after QSPI and SD card). There are a lot of information regarding flashing AM335x and AM437x with Uniflash over USB, but I am unable to find any information on support of AM57x series. Since USB booting in ROM code is explained in the TRM at 33.3.5, and I can't find anything in the errata, HW and ROM code support should be there?
I have tried following this guide
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Sitara_Uniflash_Quick_Start_Guide
and modified the INF-file for the RNDIS-over-USB host driver to a PID matching the AM5718 processor. But the device reports code 10 (the device cannot start) in device manager. Does the ROM boot code differ from AM335x/AM437x or am I missing something here?
USB examples for both host and device mode works fine on the USB port.
Is support for USB SPL boot tested and supported for the AM57x series? If yes, what tools and drivers are required on PC side to accomplish this?
Best regards
Mikael Rothin
