HI TI, I have a question :-

I am looking for a bit of support on the TI AM335x PinMux software for AM3359 processor I am using. We are currently in process of updating our processor to the latest silicon. We used the TI PinMux utility V2.4.1 (back in 2012) to generate the pin map but now I would like to use the updated software V4.0 to generate the pin map.

 

The file generated using V2.4.1 had .dat extension and V4.0 has .pinmux extension so was wondering if  someone in TI knows how if that is possible to do.

 

Do you know anyone that may be able to help me with this?

    Hello,

    Unfortunately we don't have converter to translate old v2 pinmux files into latest v4 files. You will have to start from scratch on this. On the bright side, I have come across users do the design on v4 from scratch, and they considered that exercise additional sanity check of their design. 

    Moreover, this shouldn't be a huge workload considering the easier and richer on automation features v4 pinmux vs what you have done in the past in v2.
