Linux/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: Starter Kit not detected on USB

Part Number: PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X

Tool/software: Linux

Hi there,

I have been running out of idea on getting the setup.sh completes to work properly.

First, I have the AM335x SK(starter kit) powered-up and running with Ethernet (connected successfully).

Secondly, I have the AM335x with USB cable connected to the micro-usb port on AM335x SK. Having ran the setup.sh, the scripts say that

"No BeagleBone (Black) or StarterKit detected. Assuming
general purpose evm is being used. Is this correct?
(y/n) n

Please connect the Beaglebone (Black) or StarterKit to the PC
If your using the StarterKit board make sure it is turned on
Press any key to try checking again.

My system is:

Distributor ID:    Ubuntu
Description:    Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS
Release:    16.04
Codename:    xenial

Further test I set the minicom manually by typing of which I presumed it is so.

sudo minicom -s

and set the port to

    | A -    Serial Device      : /dev/ttyS0                                |
    | B - Lockfile Location     : /var/lock                                 |
    | C -   Callin Program      :                                           |
    | D -  Callout Program      :                                           |
    | E -    Bps/Par/Bits       : 115200 8N1                                |
    | F - Hardware Flow Control : No                                        |
    | G - Software Flow Control : No                                        |
    |

and check to see if any display/output from the target. Nothing coming back from the target. Hence, I powered cycle the target, yet nothing come back from the target.

Can anyone help please?
