RTOS/TMDXIDK5718: DMTimer not available

I wanded to enable the device specific DMTimer for my Cortex A15 Processor (on IDK 5718).
When I try to add a timer instance I get the error message "Timer device unavailable", see screenshot.
I do not have other timers enabled / added, all timers should be available.
What could be the problem? (I unsing BIOS V6.46.4.53).

If the intent is to use the Timer to based on device core clock, you can configure the clocks in RTOS using the configuration specified here:
e2e.ti.com/.../2283359

I will try and check why the DMtimer functionality is not showing up. Can you please provide your .cfg and Let us know what RTSC platform configuration that you are using in your project.

From the document it does appear that the DMtimer module is available for this device.

XDCTools Version: 3.32.0.06
SYSBIOS Version 6.46.4.53

Please refer to Ashish`s post here:

It looks like by default the Timers are setup to use GPtimers so you need to create a DMtimer delegate to create DMTimers on devices with A15 cores.

According to your link I changed my config file I sent to you earlier like this:

Removed:
var Timer = xdc.useModule('ti.sysbios.timers.dmtimer.Timer');

Added:
var Timer = xdc.useModule('ti.sysbios.hal.Timer');
Timer.TimerProxy = xdc.useModule('ti.sysbios.timers.dmtimer.Timer');

This has the effect that the "Add..." button on the DMTimer instance GUI has no effect anymore.
I can klick it but nothing happens. No new Instance, No error message.

Hi Markus,

Have you tried creating a DMTimer instance manually by adding code to *.cfg file ? If not, can you try and report back the error msg you get ?

Here's an example:

var Timer = xdc.useModule('ti.sysbios.timers.dmtimer.Timer');

var params = new Timer.Params;
params.period = 50000;
params.runMode = Timer.RunMode_ONESHOT;
params.periodType = Timer.PeriodType_MICROSECS;
params.arg = 1;
Timer.create(-1, '&myTimerIsr', params);
