TAS5805M: how to mute spk by PDN (pin12)

Hi,TI's expert:

  i have encountered a problem for the SPK mute.

our design is follow the TAS5805's EVM on this pin(PDN).

it be controlled by ALC4050.

it have muted if pull low form the codec signal.

but can't enter the play mode when release the mute function on Host.

like that, must re-power on for the play mode once operation the mute, otherwise the amplifier died yet.

and i checked it on EVM, the symptom same as.

how to solve it?

could you share the solution for me to debug it?

    Hi Zhou,

              As datasheet describes, PDN pin is power down pin, not mute pin. If it's set to low, the whole device will enter power down and need to be initialized again.

             TAS5805M doesn't have hardware mute pin, you need to configure register 0x03.
