TLV320DAC3203: Microphone inputs available on i2C ?

Hello,

I'm trying to use TLV320DAC3203 for audio.

Using off the shelf headphone with microphone inbuild in it

HDMI to RGB converter from other vendor give me RGB output for LCD and Audio outputs over i2S bus.

This I2S bus is connected to TLV320DAC3203.

When i use microphone, this microphone input is connected to DAC3203 - MFP3 pin as per Eval kit implementation

My question is, this microphone outputs are available on I2S channel or I can access over I2C bus connected to DAC3203?

Hi Atharva,

Unfortunately TLV320DAC3203 does not allow to send back mic data, either from analog or digital mic inputs.
Mic signals are routed to Headphone outputs only.

Do you have any suggestions on DAC which we can use ?

Use case:-

Two headphone direct drive, and single MIC output. No other functions req.

Hi Atharva,

Perhaps a codec would be a better choice, something like TLV320AIC3110.
Codecs belong to a different group, so you could use the part number I suggested and ask for other options in the forum, this will be assigned to the responsible team.
