SRC4192: slave mode application

Part Number: SRC4192

Hi Team,

In slave mode, SRC4192 output port BCKO need to input a clock from external device, it may operate at rates from 32fS to 128fS, does BCKO set to 64fS also okay here? We try to offer BCKO = 3.072MHz, and LRCKO = 48kHz, given SDIN message by APx500 but we can't get the correct output at SDOUT. Any problem of my usage? Confirm the AP receive side already set to 32 bits Per channel. Could your share 1 application example of SRC4192 slave mode? That would help us to bench test easier. Thanks.

Related pin setting:

IFMT 2 / 1 / 0 set to 0 / 0 / 1, means input is 24 bit I2S.

OFMT 1 / 0 set to 0 /1, and OWL 1 / 0 set to 0 / 0, means output is 24 bit I2S.

MODE 2 / 1 / 0 set to 0 / 0 / 0, means both input and output are slave mode.

  • Hi Wiky,

There is nothing wrong with the clocks you have described. All of the HW configurability is described in the User's Guide for the EVM so I would recommend reviewing this to make sure your settings match what you are trying to accomplish. The SRC may be set for slave mode but you also need to make sure the OM/S and IM/S ports are set for slave mode and that the reference clock is configured appropriately.

    Best,

    Zak
