Hi,
From TLV320ADC3101 spec, it says Supports ADC Sample Rates From 8 kHz to 96 kHz
But what will happen if we set Sample Rates below 8kHz ?
Now I need to configure sample rates as 2.56KHz, this is the reason why I ask this question
Thanks,
Burton

Hi Burton,
TLV320ADC3101 and most audio converters are not specified for sample rates this low. Since this isn't something we test, it's hard to say whether or not it would work consistently for different devices.
Best,
Zak
Zak,
Thank you for your info. I tried to set sample rate as 2.56K Hz and no issue till now. I will do some further test.
But I am still confused for one limitation in page 79 of TLV320ADC3101 spec:
" In all cases, AOSR is limited in its range by the following condition:
2.8 MHz < AOSR × ADC_fs < 6.2 MHz "
With this limitation, ADC sample rate is not possible below 21KHz. Is this a wrong limitation in spec ? Can you help to confirm?
Thanks,
Burton
Hey Burton,
The minimum supported sample rate is definitely 8kHz. I believe the AOSR condition you mentioned is only really applicable for the 44.1/48kHz case and the minimum for all sample rates would be much closer to 1MHz, which means it may be possible to operate down to 4kHz. That said, we still only guarantee device operation down to 8kHz and below this it is possible not all devices will perform well.
Best,
Zak
