PCM1865: Channel Order in TDM Format

Hello,

I'd like to ask two questions about PCM1865.

  • What's the order of PCM1865's ADC channels in TDM format? Is the first one ch1[L] and then followed by ch1[R], ch2[L], and ch2[R] in order? I'm referring to Figure 46 of the data sheet.
  • Which capacitance is recommended for a capacitor on VREF pin? 1 µF is mentioned on page 11 (Pin Functions) of the data sheet while 2.2 µF in Figure 58 and 66. Which is correct?

    Hi Shinichi,

    Yes your understanding of the channel assignments is correct, but also note that these are flexible as the slotting can be changed by using the mixers.

    We use 1uF on the EVM, but ultimately it will make little difference whether you use a 1uF or 2.2uF on the VREF pin.
