TLV320AIC3107: TLV320AIC3107 DAC/ADC capability

Dear sir:

I would like to know if TLV320AIC3107 can drive DC output (Programmable) rather than AC for SPOP/ SPOM and HPLOUT/ HPCOM/ HPROUT?

Also, can LIN1LP/ LIN1LM, LIN1RP/ LIN1RM accept DC input as normal SAR ADC?

Hey Peng,

You could use the analog bypass as decribed here in the datasheet to get DC output at those pins.

As for the 2nd question I am not sure what you are asking, could you possibly rephrase it?

Dear Carson:

My question is can codec operates as normal DAC/ADC that can generate programmable DC output and receive DC input.

I heard that since it is delta sigma structure, we can only generate or receive sinewave or cyclic waveform.

Hello,

Yes when it comes to usage of the DAC and ADC trying to drive or input DC current will only produce idle tone
